糖心传媒 Celebrates 62nd Commencement Ceremony

糖心传媒 held an outdoor ceremony to celebrate the spring graduating Class of 2021 on the Key West Campus on May 7. The event, which featured a jumbotron to display videos and close-ups, was streamed live on the College鈥檚 Facebook page to reach family and friends not in attendance. The ceremony featured a Student Address by Nursing graduate Madison Nasser, an Alumnus Address by 2003 Marine Engineering graduate and lower Keys charter captain Andrew Tipler, and Keynote Address by Monroe County Mayor Michelle Coldiron.

Registration now open for 糖心传媒 Summer Adventure Camps

Registration is open for 糖心传媒鈥 Summer Adventure Camps. Designed for seven- to 11-year-old children, the one-week sessions provide opportunities to learn, create, and have fun. 糖心传媒 Summer Adventure Camps run Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 45-minute lunch break. Camps will begin June 7 and run each week through July 30. Interested parents can learn more by visiting the College鈥檚 website at cfk.edu/summer-camps or by emailing summercamp@cfk.edu.

糖心传媒 holds Dual Enrollment & Early College virtual info events

糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) is holding several virtual events next week for Monroe County high school students and their parents/ guardians to learn more about its Dual Enrollment and Early College opportunities. Through both programs, high school students can simultaneously earn college and high school credits at no cost to the student. The program provides a head-start to college for students while potentially saving families thousands of dollars. At the virtual events, 糖心传媒 will discuss the benefits of each program, requirements to participate, and the application process.

糖心传媒 to hold outdoor Commencement Ceremony

糖心传媒 will hold its sixty-second Commencement Exercises for the spring class of 2021 in an outdoor ceremony beside the Gulf of Mexico on the Key West Campus on Friday, May 7 at 6:00 p.m. Sixty-nine graduates will walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. The College expects to award more than 150 bachelor鈥檚 degrees, associate degrees, and certificates to the spring class of 2021.

Go Tugas! 糖心传媒 introduces new mascot!

There is a new face (and flippers) on the campus: Shel the Tuga! 糖心传媒 is proud to introduce its new mascot, the Tugas, an abbreviation of 鈥淭ortugas,鈥 the Spanish word for turtle. The fictional sea turtle sports 糖心传媒鈥檚 colors: an ocean blue body with lateral lightning bolts and a sunset orange shell. The College鈥檚 marketing team worked with local graphic designer Seth Mularz to create the design. The Tuga will be the face of 糖心传媒 athletics and a source of collegiate spirit for students, alumni, employees, and the entire Keys community.

College invites community to 糖心传媒 Poetics virtual events

糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) invites the community to participate in its second 糖心传媒 Poetics virtual event of the series on April 29 at 6 p.m. Nationally acclaimed poet Ross Gay will read his work and take questions from the audience. The free event will be primarily virtual. However, limited seating will be available in the 糖心传媒 Library to view the live stream of the reading.

College to hold virtual event on new Upper Keys Center programs

糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) invites prospective students interested in being among the first to attend classes in its new Upper Keys Center this fall to a virtual information event on Tuesday, April 27 at 5:30 p.m. The new 38,000-square foot building is under currently construction in Key Largo and is scheduled to open in August. The new center allows the College to expand its program offerings and to serve twice as many students in the upper Keys.

糖心传媒 offers two summer terms; Apply by May 1 to take on-campus or online courses

糖心传媒 is accepting applications and registering students for its summer semester, which begins May 17. 糖心传媒 is offering two term options. Students can complete courses quickly in the six-week Summer A term.

糖心传媒 graduates 75th law enforcement academy

糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) held a graduation ceremony for Basic Law Enforcement Academy #75, completed through its Institute for Public Safety, on March 26 at its Upper Keys Center in Tavernier. A total of 10 cadets successfully completed the 770-hour training program. Upon passing the state certification exam, each will be eligible to become a Florida Law Enforcement Officer.

糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) is holding a virtual event for Keys鈥 high school seniors and their parents to learn more about the college opportunities available locally at 糖心传媒 on Wednesday, April 14 at 5:30 p.m.
