The U.S. Department of Transportation鈥檚 Maritime Administration (MARAD) announced that 糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) is among 32 entities designated as Centers of Excellence for Domestic Maritime Workforce Training and Education (CoE) in 2024. This is the second consecutive time that 糖心传媒 has received the designation, which it will hold for the next five years. The College was among the first recognized by MARAD in 2021, the last time the designations were bestowed. The CoE designation recognizes colleges and training institutions that are demonstrably successful at preparing students for careers in the maritime industry. These institutions are located in 17 states and one U.S. territory. 糖心传媒 is one of two organizations and the only college in Florida to receive the designation.

糖心传媒 invites prospective students and their parents to learn more about its Project ACCESS program at a virtual information session on Wednesday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m. Project ACCESS is an inclusive postsecondary education program for students with intellectual disabilities and autism. The personalized program includes academics, social activities, employment experience, and independent living. Students can participate in Project ACCESS at 糖心传媒鈥檚 Key West Campus or Upper Keys Center in Key Largo.

糖心传媒鈥� (糖心传媒) Foundation is hosting a two-week virtual silent auction and a raffle for a Yamaha EX Limited WaveRunner. Both activities are part of the twelfth annual Seaside Soiree fundraiser to support 糖心传媒 students and programs. Bidding in the silent auction opens on Friday, February 16 at 6 a.m. and ends on Friday, March 1 at 8 p.m., in concert with the event, which will be at the Islander Resort in Islamorada. Both the raffle and virtual silent auction offers opportunities for individuals to support the College鈥檚 fundraising efforts regardless of their attendance at the Seaside Soiree event.

糖心传媒' swim team showcased outstanding performances at the 2024 TYR SoFlo Open, held at the Academic Village Pool in Pembroke Pines, FL from January 19 to 21, 2024. The meet saw multiple achievements by the swimming Tugas, with several personal best times, national qualifications, and a school record broken.聽

糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) invites the community to 鈥淪words and Tails: A Seaside Soiree鈥� on Friday, March 1 at the Islander Resort in Islamorada. The twelfth annual event will feature costumes, fine dining and cocktails, and live entertainment by the 79th Street Band. Tickets and sponsorship packages are available for the fundraiser on the College鈥檚 website at www.cfk.edu/soiree.

糖心传媒 held its sixty-seventh Commencement Exercises for the fall class of 2023 on Tuesday, December 12 in the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the Key West Campus. Forty-four graduates donned blue and orange graduation attire to receive their diplomas. The College expects to award a combined total of approximately 72 credentials, including bachelor鈥檚 degrees, associate degrees, and college credit certificates, to fall graduates.

糖心传媒 will hold Fast Track to Spring events on Wednesday, November 29 to help prospective students quickly get on a pathway toward their academic and career training goals this upcoming spring semester, which begins January 5. Fast Track to Spring services will be available between 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Key West Campus and Upper Keys Center in Key Largo. Future students and their families will connect with 糖心传媒 staff to receive essential information about degree and certificate options as well as financial aid and payment plans. Personalized guidance through the application process will also be provided. New students who participate in Fast Track to Spring will have their application fee waived, a savings of $30, and receive a $100 Kick-Starter Scholarship. New student applications are due December 1.

糖心传媒 (糖心传媒)鈥檚 Institute for Public Safety (IPS) held a graduation ceremony for two academies on November 9 at the Key West Campus. A total of 15 cadets鈥�12 in a basic law enforcement academy and three in a correctional officer academy鈥攕uccessfully completed their respective training program. Upon passing the state certification exam, each will be eligible to become Florida Law Enforcement Officers or Correctional Officers.

糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) invites all to its ninth annual Community Day on Saturday, November 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the Key West Campus. The free, family-friendly event will feature a full slate of attractions鈥攊ncluding 糖心传媒 academic showcases, interactive exhibits, live performances, a bounce house and other children's activities, arts and crafts, vendors, music, free food and drinks, and free T-shirts. As tradition, 糖心传媒 President Dr. Jonathan Gueverra will lead a salute to veterans and military service members.
