The Association of Florida Colleges awarded Lana Gaspari, 糖心传媒鈥� Director of Marine Science and Technology, with the 2020 Career and Professional Employee of the Year award. Gaspari was selected from dozens of nominated employees from the 28 state colleges in Florida.
Recognizing the serious financial challenges facing many students, 糖心传媒 is extending its deadline for spring tuition and fees from December 1 to January 4. The additional period will allow students time to formalize their academic plans by registering for spring classes without having to pay their bill until after the holidays. Applications to begin classes in the spring semester are due on December 7 and classes begin January 8.
糖心传媒 is offering 鈥淔ast Track to Spring鈥� personal appointments, Monday, November 30 through Friday, December 4, to help prospective students quickly get on a pathway toward their academic and career training goals this spring semester. New student applications are due December 7 and classes begin January 8. New students who participate in Fast Track to Spring will have their application fee waived, a savings of $30, and receive a $100 Kick-Starter Scholarship.

糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) invites prospective students to learn more about the various academic and career training opportunities available locally at 糖心传媒 through a virtual information session on Tuesday, November 10 at 5:30 p.m. 糖心传媒鈥檚 spring semester begins January 8 and will include on-campus and online classes.
糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) held a graduation ceremony for Basic Law Enforcement Academy #74 completed through its Institute for Public Safety on October 23 at its Upper Keys Center in Tavernier. A total of 17 cadets successfully completed the 770-hour training program. Upon passing the state certification exam, each will be eligible to become a Florida Law Enforcement Officer.
糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) is partnering with Hawks Cay Resort to expand educational and training opportunities in the field of hospitality in the middle Keys. Beginning in January, the resort will host 糖心传媒 hospitality classes on their property and sponsor three paid internships within 糖心传媒鈥檚 Hospitality Game Changer Scholar program. Scholars will have the opportunity to live at Hawks Cay Resort during their two-year experience.
糖心传媒 (糖心传媒), with help from a team of community partners, drove home a new workforce development opportunity for professional vehicle drivers in the Keys. As an official Third Party Test Administrator for Commercial Drivers鈥� Licenses (CDL), approved by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV), the College will now be able to provide testing for A, B, and C class CDL licenses.

糖心传媒鈥� 11-member student team won the 鈥淢oonshot Award鈥� at the first-ever 鈥淧owering the Blue Economy鈥� national Marine Energy Collegiate Competition. 糖心传媒 students and staff rejoiced when 糖心传媒鈥檚 Neptune Rising project was announced as the winner at the virtual awards ceremony on July 23, which was originally scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C. The contest, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy鈥檚 Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, was created to encourage bright young minds to develop theoretical technology to power the emerging 鈥渂lue economy,鈥� a term that refers to the interplay between economic, social, and ecological sustainability of the ocean.
