The Southernmost Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) donated $1,000 to 糖心传媒 Foundation on August 10 to support the VFW Post 3911 Ed Moran Memorial Scholarship. Established in 2015, this scholarship pays tribute to the late VFW Post Commander.

More than 100 community leaders, elected officials, and partners, employees, and supporters of the College gathered for a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch the opening the highly anticipated new center, prominently positioned on the Overseas Highway.

The 鈥淧apas鈥� of the Hemingway Look-Alike Society (HLAS) kicked-off the festivities of the famous Hemingway Look-Alike Contest by presenting $20,000 in scholarships to students attending 糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) on the stage of Sloppy Joe鈥檚 on July 22. 鈥淧apa鈥� Fred Johnson and 鈥淧apa鈥� Stephen Terry awarded five scholarships for literary talent and eight scholarships to nursing students. He also presented the Kermit 鈥淪hine鈥� Forbes Scholarship, named for Hemingway鈥檚 boxing sparring partner, to a 糖心传媒-bound Key West High School graduate.
$100 Kick-Starter Scholarships; Application fees waived 糖心传媒 will hold 鈥淔ast Track to Fall鈥� events the last week of July to help prospective students quickly get on a pathway toward their academic and career training goals this fall semester. There will be an in-person event at the Key West Campus on Wednesday, July 28 at 5:30 p.m. as well as personal virtual sessions throughout the day, Monday, July 26 through Thursday, July 29.
Due to potential impacts of Tropical Storm Elsa, 糖心传媒鈥� Key West Campus and Centers are closed Tuesday, July 6. Students are asked to log into Canvas for individual class information. Employees will work from home.
The Board of Trustees of 糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) approved the promotions of two long-time 糖心传媒 employees to senior leadership positions at their regular monthly meeting today in Marathon. Dr. Brittany Snyder, who is currently the Vice President of Academic Affairs, will become the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Biology professor Dr. Bill Irwin will succeed Dr. Snyder as the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) received $340, 026 in state funding to renovate its Dive Locker facility. Senator Anna Maria Rodriguez and Representative Jim Mooney personally delivered the funds to 糖心传媒 President Dr. Jonathan Gueverra during a visit to the Key West Campus on June 21.
糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) recently celebrated the graduations of two basic law enforcement (BLE) academies. A ceremony was held on June 10 at the Key West Campus for BLE #77, a Key West-based academy, followed by a ceremony at Coral Shores High School on June 18 for BLE #76, an Upper Keys-based academy. A total of 12 cadets, four from BLE #77 and eight from BLE #76, successfully completed the 770-hour training program.
