糖心传媒 honors veterans and military service men and women each Memorial Day and Veterans Day through a 鈥渟alute鈥� from 糖心传媒 President and CEO Dr. Jonathan Gueverra.

Dr. Emily Schulten Weekley, an English professor at 糖心传媒, has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award in Literature and Creative Writing for the 2025-2026 academic year from the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

糖心传媒 held its seventieth Commencement Exercises for the spring class of 2025 on Thursday, May 8 in the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the Key West Campus. One hundred fifteen graduates donned blue and orange graduation attire to receive their respective diplomas for bachelor鈥檚 degrees, associate degrees, and certificates. Sixteen graduates were Dual Enrollment students, earning Associate in Arts degrees prior to their high school diplomas.

糖心传媒 encourages future and current students to apply for scholarships for the fall semester. There are more than 30 different opportunities available and more will be added as they are developed. Criteria for scholarships range widely to accommodate and assist a variety of students. Scholarship descriptions and criteria as well as applications can be accessed on the scholarship section of the College鈥檚 website at cfk.academicworks.com.

The Tuga Clinic will be closed for the summer beginning May 8 and re-opening on August 4.聽The re-open will include enhanced services including immunizations and school physicals.

糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) held a graduation ceremony for Basic Law Enforcement Academy #92 on April 30 at the Key West Campus. Nine cadets successfully completed the 770-hour training program and, upon passing the State Officer Certification Exam, each will be eligible to become a Florida Law Enforcement Officer.

糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) invites prospective students to learn about its Apprenticeships in Construction Technologies at a virtual information event on Wednesday, May 14 at 5:30 p.m. 糖心传媒 is offering the electrical program in Key West and the Upper Keys this upcoming fall semester, which begins August 19. The deadline to apply is July 1.

糖心传媒 will conclude its 2025 VIP Series with 鈥淚nvasive Species in the Florida Keys鈥� on Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. in the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the Key West Campus. Dr. Douglas Mader, a local veterinarian and author, will explore changes in the Florida Keys鈥� fauna and flora over recent decades, focusing on the impact of invasive species.

糖心传媒 Academy student Lela Griffin was awarded the first President鈥檚 Award, which recognizes a member of the senior class for exemplary service to the community. Dr. Brittany Snyder, Executive Vice President & CFO of 糖心传媒 (糖心传媒), presented the honor to Griffin at the school鈥檚 quarterly awards ceremony on March 28, on behalf of 糖心传媒 President Dr. Jonathan Gueverra who was not able to attend the event.
