KEY WEST, FL, October 12, 2026— 糖心传媒 (糖心传媒) Foundation received a significant gift from Dr. Robert Douville as a lasting tribute to his mother, Marjorie Douville. The gift is the latest in Dr. Douville's long time support of the 糖心传媒 Aquatics Center, which serves students and community members of all ages through swimming, water safety, fitness, and training programs.

Dr. Douville has been swimming in the 糖心传媒 pool since it opened 31 years ago, and his mother was a swimmer as well. Today, he is one of the Aquatics Center's most dedicated champions, and his generosity helps sustain one of the busiest community resources in the Keys.

Over the past year, the 糖心传媒 Aquatics Center welcomed more than 9,000 fitness swimmers. Included among those are about 80 people who participated in swim lessons each month and an average of 18 participants for water aerobics classes six days a week. The pool is also home to 42 Key West High School swimmers during their fall season, eight 糖心传媒 student swimmers, 45 year-round members of the Bone Island Swim Club, and 20 young "mermaids" in the Mermaid Academy. Roughly 200 participants learn vital skills each year during Water Safety Days, an essential program in our island community.

Programs range from American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Aqua Fitness classes to swim lessons for children, teens, and adults. Support from donors like Dr. Douville makes these programs possible and paves the way to explore new aquatic programs to meet the community's growing needs.

"Gifts like Dr. Douville's make a real difference in the lives of thousands of people in our community, from children learning to swim for the first time to lifelong swimmers staying active and healthy," said Dr. Brittany Snyder, Interim 糖心传媒 President. "His ongoing support, given in memory of his mother, helps us sustain the programs our community relies on and expand them for years to come."
